Goldfish

In 2005 I got these goldfish. I named them Ching and Chang. Unfortunately, I didn't have them very long. The summer was very hot and the water got too warm and they perished. I don't know what I could have done to keep the water cool enough. Maybe I should have added ice cubes.

Tart warmer

If you sometimes have leftover scented wax after burning a candle put the pieces in a tart warmer. This was a large hyacinth candle. There was so much wax left unused I hated to throw it away. With this tart warmer, I don't have to. I broke up the big pieces and put them in the candle holder. Then I put some small pieces in the top of the tart warmer. You use a plain tea light on the bottom. It smells wonderful.

Grandchildren

It's time to blog my grandchildren. I am a proud grandmother, and I'm called Grandma Dot.
Andrew is 12 and likes to be called Andrew.

Gabriel is four and is called Gabey. He found a puppy to play with while at a family picnic at the park.

The baby is Gideon called Giddy for short because he laughs a lot.

Jealous

Oprah has a problem with God being jealous. God isn't jealous of us. He is jealous of anything that takes us away from Him. That's how much he loves us. She thinks being a good person is good enough. (Is she good enough?) It isn't enough. I wouldn't want to go to heaven and find out it's just like earth, full of violence, hate, greed, etc. Jesus took ALL my sin away when He died on the cross. I can't do it myself. He is the only one who can make me good enough. It must be personal. I know He did it for me, and He did it for Oprah, too only she doesn't see it. She is probably the richest, most loved, most influential woman in America. If she got saved, think of what she could do for the cause of Christ.

Green Singing finches

I've had parakeets, but these were my favorite birds. They tweet, sing, and whisper to each other. They were so sweet. They aren't as loud as other birds because they are smaller. I had them five years. I don't know why they died. First one and then a month later the other one. If I ever got birds again I'd get these. They do make a mess though!!

Ballet

I told you that I liked ballet. Well, I found one I don't like. 1982 version of Romeo and Juliet with Rudolph Nureyev is very bad. I couldn't watch it all. It was very offensive and erotic. Ballet that is old and classic is beautiful. I didn't know he made two versions. I will try to see the older one. This was the only ballet I've seen so far that made me uncomfortable. I don't care much for modern ballet. The Ballets Russes from years ago was outrageous, with crazy costumes, crazy stage sets, etc. I wouldn't like that. I like the real classic style ballet. It shouldn't be offensive. I saw Nureyev's version of Swan Lake and it was good. I don't think he could have performed an erotic ballet in Russia. I just wanted you to be aware that there are two kinds of ballet, the beautiful kind and the other kind.

I bought this lovely purse from Lallee's Cottage in Etsy. That's not my camera in it. I used my camera to take the picture.

EEEK! A Spider

I killed my first spider of the year, right on the kitchen counter. I haven't seen one for months. It must be spring. And watch out for that tree pollen if you have allergies. My head gets stuffed up and my ears block up. Then I take cold medicine or Sudafed. Have a pleasant day.
