I was reading the story of David and Goliath today. 1 Sam. 17. In my Bible handbook I found out that slingshots are used by shepherds. The stones weigh about 2 pounds each and are 4" in diameter. (it is more of a small rock than a stone which we think of as little) The stone can travel up to 600 feet at a speed of 100 miles an hour!
Now picture David rushing at Goliath, swinging the sling and hurling the smooth stone, with speed and accuracy, into the forehead of the giant. POW! the giant falls on his face. Read the story for yourself.

I just thought of something reading my Bible today. The pomegranates at the bottom of the priests robe were pompoms. Fuzzy little balls of yarn in blue, purple, and red with golden bells between. Duh! lol
